'Indulge in the timeless elegance, luxurious comforts and Victorian charm of Picton's finest colonial villa'
Built in 1886, Sennen House is one of Picton's original colonial homesteads. This magnificent two-storey villa has been extensively restored in keeping with its gracious style and era, to offer guests a unique accommodation experience set in 5 acres of native bush and gardens, only minutes from Picton's retaurants, ferries and foreshore by foot or car. Three elegant, themed apartments and two spacious historic suites, combine luxurious comfort with Victorian charm, to offer seclusion, tranquility, simplistic grandeur and individual character, three having their own private lounge (two with open fire) and all having kitchen facilities, dining area and private entrance.
Relax with a glass of local Marlborough wine on sunny, north-facing verandahs, or take a leisurely al-fresco breakfast, (generous hamper provided daily) with views across the grounds to Picton and the sea or hills beyond. Indulge in the luxuries of pure cotton linen and robes, listen to native bird song or simply absorb the quiet enveloping elegance of Sennen House.
Your hosts, Richard & Imogen are landscape architects and have travelled extensively both nationally & internationally. They, and their young family, invite you to share their local knowledge and passion for this memorable, unique & very special place.
