Destination Marlborough undertakes and collates a range of research on tourism in the region. The research available on this website aims to inform tourism operators and other interested parties about tourism in Marlborough to support effective planning and decision-making.
Marlborough Monthly Key Indicators
Each month a set of key tourism indicators are presented to the board of Destination Marlborough. They include latest data from the Commercial Accommodation Monitor, visitor expenditure and NZ international arrival and departure statistics. They provide a good overview of the current situation.

New Zealand Commercial Accommodation Monitor (CAM)
This research is carried out every month by Statistics New Zealand for the Ministry of Tourism. It provides information on the number and source of visitors staying in commercial accommodation (hotels, motels, holiday parks etc). Note that it only includes accommodation properties with an annual turnover of at least NZ$30 000.
